What happens to the application once it is submitted?
Upon completing this, your application will be reviewed within two weeks of the next application deadline passing. Applications are reviewed twice per year. You will receive a confirmation only that your application has been received at the time of submission. After the deadline passes, your application will be reviewed within two weeks and you will be sent email notification of the admission decision with further instructions.
What happens once I have received notice of admission to the minor from an AEC representative?
Once admitted to the minor by AEC, an advising note will be added to your student record showing admission. You will be required to complete the “Add a Minor” form, which is found on the university registrar page. The form requires a signature from the college in which you are majoring as well as the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS). The CALS Dean’s office representative will not be able to sign the completed form unless you have been accepted by AEC and an advising note has been included in your student record. Once the form has been signed by both the college in which you are majoring and CALS, then you must return the form to the registrar’s office for processing. At that time, the minor will be added to your degree audit. Why can't I just complete an "Add or Cancel a Minor" form?
The leadership minor is the only selective university-wide minor at the University of Florida. In order to be considered, students must meet the requirements and complete an application through the Department of Agricultural Education and Communication first.
