2017-2018 Graduate Scholarship Application
The College of Agricultural and Life Sciences awarded $126,200 in scholarships to graduate students for the 2016-2017 academic year.
It is understood that the recipient of a scholarship will meet the following conditions:
enrolled in a CALS major at the University of Florida and
registered as a full-time graduate student (9-12 hours).
Applications are reviewed by the CALS Graduate Scholarships and Awards Committee and awards are made contingent on available funding. Scholarship applications are evaluated on the basis of scholarship, leadership, professional potential, research focus, and, in some cases, financial need.
Scholarships will be awarded based on eligibility as determined by this application.
Applicants are notified of decisions at the end of the summer term and scholarships are awarded for the following academic year.
Please be prepared to provide the following:
abstract of your academic research or master's project (2,000 character limit),
a brief statement about your career plans (3,500 character limit),
a pdf of your curriculum vitae/resume, and
the names and email addresses of two individuals who will provide letters of reference.
Individuals listed as references will receive an automated email asking them to submit a letter by April 1 at
. You will receive an email when reference letters are submitted. Ultimately, applicants are responsible for ensuring that their references submit letters. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
